Collaboration with THE PLAY sees the YONEX All England create exclusive collection
Own all the winning points from an incredible Finals Day at this year’s tournament
Sporting poetry in motion…framed.
The YONEX All England have collaborated with THE PLAY, a Copenhagen-based creative studio renowned for
transforming iconic sporting moments into minimalist art, to create an exclusive collection of all five winning
points from this year’s extraordinary tournament.
The YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships are steeped in history and prestige but are also
synonymous with innovation. And by working closely with THE PLAY we have pushed the boundaries once
more to capture all the drama of each Championship Point in art.
The collection includes five unique designs, each capturing the very last point of the 2025 finals – Men’s Singles,
Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles. Each piece captures the essence of the
decisive moment – the intensity, the emotion and the precision – translated into the signature visual language of
THE PLAY.
A last gasp dive from Chinese Taipei’s Lee Chia Hao couldn’t deny China’s Shi Yu Qi clinching the men’s singles
title at the end of a tight second game, while An Se Young’s epic encounter with Wang Zhi Yi will live very long in
the memory – the winning point noting all 28 shots that finally brought a marathon battle to its emotional
conclusion.
The all-Japanese women’s doubles finale eventually crowned Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida at the end of
three closely-contested games, while the men’s doubles brought the curtain down on a magnificent Finals Day
with South Korean pair Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae triumphant after the final point.
And the Mixed Doubles also didn’t disappoint… Guo Xin Wa and Chen Fang Hui collapsing on the grey court after edging the deciding game 23-21.
“The All England is a cathedral of badminton,” said Kim Bernhard, co-founder and CEO of THE PLAY. “These final
points aren’t just the end of a match – they’re the defining heartbeat of a champion’s story. To frame them
through our visual language is a huge honour.”
“The YONEX All England Open represents six days of the most breathtaking badminton in the world. This
collaboration is an artistic celebration of the most prestigious tournament on the tour and an opportunity for fans
to own a little bit of the tournament’s rich history,” explained Ben Nicholson, Commercial and Engagement
Director at Badminton England.
“These iconic moments were fast, furious and fleeting but can now be timeless, captured as part of these unique
pieces of art and bringing some of the most intense seconds of each YONEX All England Open Final to fans
around the world in a fresh and inspiring way.”
